The Charter of Government of the Great Realm of Arrethtrae
The Royal Charter is the "constitution" by which Arrethtrae is governed. It outlines the most basic and fundamental Rule of Law, grants authority to the Branches of Government, and expresses the Rights and Limits of the Monarch.
Balance of Power
In Arrethtrae, the "power" is balanced between HM the Queen - the Head of State who also maintains some executive power, rested in the Royal Prerogative - and the Arreth People. The Queen has the power to appoint and dismiss the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers, while the people have the power to appoint Supreme Court Justices; both the Queen and the people share power within Parliament. The result of this unique balance of power is a system of checks and balances.
